Shaping the architecture of memory: creative direction

As the creative director of Entre Ríos Museo, shaping our latest exhibition has been an intensely personal journey into the spaces where journalism, art, and memory intersect. “Historias de silencios, relatos silenciados” was built from the ground up to investigate the deep silences left by violence in the Colombian Caribbean, transforming heavy realities into visual experiences that demand to be felt.

When we developed pieces like “El parpadeo de la herida” and our animated shorts, the mission was never just about technical execution. In the Alto Sinú, working with the memories of local communities and the Emberá Katío people meant finding a visual language capable of honoring their resilience without reducing their pain. As creative director, guiding this collaborative vision alongside partners like Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and Reporters Sans Frontières has shown me how digital art and immersive storytelling can break through indifference and give form to what history tried to erase.

This museum is an invitation to walk through those silenced narratives and confront our collective memory.
