AI tribute to Gabriel García Márquez on Caracol Televisión
“Life is not what one lived, but what one remembers and how one remembers it to tell it.” Gabriel García Márquez.
I am beyond thrilled to share that this generative AI animation, crafted as a magical realism tribute to celebrate the birthday of our Nobel laureate was nationally broadcasted on Caracol Televisión in Colombia.
Created using archival photographs courtesy of Fundación Gabo, this project reimagined García Márquez’s symbolic universe, bringing yellow butterflies and the golden, nostalgic streets of our literary heritage to life through artificial intelligence. Seeing a piece born from digital experimentation and intimate storytelling leap from digital platforms to national television is an incredible milestone.
Art and technology can merge to honor our deepest cultural roots and spark collective memory on a massive scale.
